NAV2V: Navigation Assisted V2V Routing Protocol for Urban Areas

Vehicular AdHoc networks (VANETs) allow connectivity in dispersed vehicle environments and other difficult access areas, where conventional network systems are not satisfactory. One of the most significant technical challenges faced implementing VANET is designing an efficient routing protocol that can provide a reliable path between source destination information. This paper discusses scheme incorporates control strategy for transmitting messages Global Navigation Satellite System (GGNS) information to optimize routing. uses geolocation select best forward messages. To simulate communication real-life scenarios, we used Simulation Urban MObility (SUMO) Network Simulator-version 3 (NS-3) platform compare our proposed algorithm traditional protocols scenarios when number source-destination pairs varies. Our results show NAV2V decrease packet loss rate, end-to-end delay, enhance efficiency.
